Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme (ORSAS)
Value:The difference between overseas tuition fees and home (UK and EU) tuition fees (£3070)
These awards are for international (non-EU) postgraduate (research only) students studying any subject full-time at certain UK higher education institutions that participate in the scheme. Note that the majority of UK universities and many UK HE colleges participate in the scheme. Up to 850 new awards are made each year.
The awards cover the difference in tuition fees between the “overseas students” rate and the “home / EU students” rate. The current home / EU student fees are typically £3070 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) lower home / EU fees are paid in Scotland.
Students must be of outstanding academic ability and research potential.
