Royal Holloway University of London Royal Holloway University of London

Royal Holloway, although part of the University of London, is actually based in a picturesque 135 acre parkland campus just outside London in Egham, Surrey. This provides students here with plenty of space, peace and tranquility, which other London universities simply cannot match, although central London and all that it has to offer is only a short train ride away.

This is an old, traditional university which enjoys an excellent reputation, with teaching and research rated very highly, low student to staff ratios, high student satisfaction ratings and a graduate employment rate well above the national average.

The campus is dominated by the incredible “Founder’s Building”, a Victorian copy of a classic French Chateau, although there are also many newer, modern buildings that complement the older traditional ones very well.

Total student population is under 8,000, around one quarter of which are postgraduates. A high percentage (19%) of undergraduates come from outside the UK or the EU.
